PROFILE – LIVING HOMES

LIVING HOMES RETURNS TO WESTON

Living Homes first came to Weston in 1972 having acquired the business of Payne & Holder who were situated in Whitecross Road and the High Street.  The firm pulled out of Weston having failed to obtain larger premises.

When the business Courts crashed in 2005, Living Homes saw an opportunity to get back into the town and negotiated to take over the Courts site in Dolphin Square.

Living Homes is a family-run independent retailer that has been of service to the people of “old” Somerset for nearly 40 years.  Its reputation has been built up on being dedicated to achieving the highest level of customer service.  To this end all staff are stakeholders through a staff sharing profit scheme which encourages a standard of service second to none.

As no sales commission is paid to staff, the firm aims to provide expert, unbiased and honest advice in an environment that is friendly and without any high-pressure sales techniques.

Whilst Living Homes recognise the importance of traditional value of service, they also understand the need to maintain extremely competitive prices and to keep up with ever-changing fashions.  To achieve the best possible prices they belong to the largest furniture and electrical buying groups in Europe. At the moment the Weston branch is devoted to furniture but the firm hopes to expand in the town so that one day their complete range of products will be available at Weston super Mare.
