Networking
The recent emergence of the vast plethora of networking breakfast and lunch meetings, is interestingly similar to the long established Chamber gatherings, which have long been regarded as a highly efficient way of making procedable contacts. There is a danger with certain networking groups that they become a pitching dartboard and generally regime-like.
Chamber meetings are all-together more relaxed and informal. Yes, they do have structure, but it makes a refreshing change from the you must do this or do that feeling of Americanised refrerral business 'meat markets'.
Not least of which is the low costs of Chamber membership and the fact that meetings are generally free to attend!
Commercial Pulse
Chamber facilities such as this website and the regular meetings are a superb method of obtaining current data and information on the commerce of the district. The Chamber's officials and members comprise many successful and influential business people, all pushing to develop the regions economy through their own efforts.
Political Pulse
Many senior Chamber Officials have excellent relationships with key political figures and contacts right up to Westminster. This can often be used to assist Chamber Members, or the community as a whole to have issues addressed and resolved.
Media
Chamber enjoys superb relationships with key local media, which in itself has both the benefits of association for Chamber Members, but also can be utilised to spearhead public awareness and influencing the addressing of key issues.
Respected Authority
Chamber is undoubtedly acknowledged as a respected voice of authority. Chamber is extremely effective at the behind the scenes influencing, so often required to get things done.
In addition to all the above benefits for members, there are such things as free advertising on the Chamber Website for your business, the benefits of Weston Chamber's close association with Business West and the opportunity to benefit from that indirectly and of course to play your part in the local community and the commercial and economic success of the region.
