Event to help businesses
in 'credit crunch' is a success
MORE THAN 50 employers from Bristol and Somerset received tips and advice on minimising the impact the current economic climate may be having on their business at a free event at Weston College last Wednesday (January 14, 2009).
The Business Enterprise Centre, which is based in Weston-super-Mare, hosted the 'Commerce in the Credit Crunch' Open Meeting and Seminar at Weston College's Bistro on Knightstone Road.
Christopher Batt, Sales Account Co-ordinator at the Business Enterprise Centre, explained: "The event was organised by Weston-super-Mare and District Chamber of Trade of Commerce, and the Centre hosted it at the College's main site in Weston-super-Mare. More than 50 businesses from the area attended the event - it was really successful.
"During the meeting and seminar, discussions included: keeping your cash flowing, getting the most from your bank, other options to redundancy and training. There were also speakers from the College, Barclay's Bank, HR specialists, 'The HR Dept' and debt recovery company, Kings Ransom."
